Planning & Zoning
The
Department of Planning & Zoning assist the Planning Commission and
Town Council in developing policy for the orderly growth and development
of the town and enforces the adopted land use and zoning
regulations.
The
department reviews subdivision plats, development plans, boundary line
adjustments and boundary line vacations for compliance with town
regulations; and processes rezoning and special exception applications,
zoning permits for new construction, additions, accessory structures,
interior alterations, pools, etc.
The
department also issues sign permits. Staff also signs off on town business
licenses and certificates of occupancy issued by Page County.
The
Town’s Planning Commission is appointed by the Town Council and is
composed of seven town citizens.
The
Town’s Planning Commission meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
